Trump to move US embassy to Jerusalem 'in the coming days'
Donald Trump is planning to move the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in the coming days, according to Israeli media.
The highly controversial move would officially recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel further threatens hopes of a two-state solution as the Palestinians regard the east of the city – occupied by Israel in the 1967 Six Day War – to be the capital of any future Palestinian state.
A Helpful 4-Step Strategy to Steer Clear of Adultery
Unfortunately, in the family of God, we are experiencing more adultery than ever. Why? Well, it's no surprise with cultures worldwide being seduced into a sexually addicted culture. All our media outlets are tainted with sexuality, and we haven't even talked about the internet. This porn store isn't blocked in many churches or spiritual leader's homes.
So what can the average person do to avoid being tempted into giving their heart and body to another's spouse? I want to give you principles here so that you are not one of our immoral fatalities and also so you become an agent of salt, helping others to avoid the pitfall of shame that the devil is laying for so many.
Judge Rules Military Must Start Admitting Transgender Troops on Jan. 1 in New Blow to Trump Ban
President Donald Trump's efforts to ban openly transgender troops from serving in the U.S. military has been dealt with another blow after a federal judge ruled that such recruits must be allowed in starting Jan. 1.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly clarified on Monday a previous injunction issued in October that the U.S. military must follow former President Barack Obama's memorandum last year, which paved the way for transgender troops to be recruited.
"Any action by any of the Defendants that changes this status quo is preliminary enjoined," Kollar-Kotelly wrote in the latest memo.

Trump’s Christmas card says ‘Merry Christmas,’ Obama’s never did
The Trump family’s first presidential Christmas card says “Merry Christmas” rather than “Happy Holidays,” the Obamas’ preferred greeting.
It seems Trump is making good on his campaign and post-campaign promises to fight political correctness.
The 2017 White House Christmas card wishes people “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.” It’s signed by President Trump, Melania, and their son Barron.
Londoners urged to back Church homeless campaign as freezing temperatures could be fatal
Diocese of LondonThe acting Bishop of London Pete Broadbent at one of the homeless shelter the Diocese is backing this winter. |
The acting Bishop of London is urging worshippers to back a Church homelessness appeal this Christmas as the number of people sleeping rough in the capital has doubled since 2010.
The Diocese of London is hoping to raise more than half a million pounds as it supports 15 winter night shelter projects across the city. With potentially fatal temperatures reaching below zero this week, more than a fifth of parishes across London will work with the homeless, providing night shelters, soup kitchens and job support.
Congolese bishops urge President Kabila to announce peaceful transfer of power
President Joseph Kabila |
Catholic bishops of the Democratic Republic of Congo have requested that President Joseph Kabila affirm that he will not claim a third term of presidency at the conclusion of his constitutionally-limited two terms in power.
“We urge you to reassure the public opinion by a public statement that you will not be a candidate for your own succession,” read a statement from the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO) on Monday.
“We are convinced that this would contribute to easing political tensions,” the statement continued.
President Kabila has been in power since 2001, when his father Laurent Kabila was assassinated. His two-term limit expired in December 2016, but he has refused to step down and did not allow elections for the next president. A Dec. 31 agreement between Kabila’s government and opposition parties calls for elections to be held by the end of 2017

In a letter for the conclusion of a conference on labor on Friday, Pope Francis said work is about more than just doing something for money, but about cooperating with Christ’s work of redemption in how we care for others and the earth.
“According to Christian tradition, (work) is more than a mere doing; it is, above all, a mission,” the Pope said Nov. 24.

Christian Math Teacher Under Fire for Calling a Female Student 'Girl'
A respected Christian math teacher at a school in Oxfordshire is facing discipline for "misgendering" a student.
Joshua Sutcliffe, from Oxford, began working at the school in September 2015 and currently teaches children aged 11-18. He has achieved excellent results, with his Key Stage 3 students outperforming every parallel class.
But on November 2, a complaint was made that Joshua referred to a pupil as a 'girl', rather than the desired 'boy'.

Tens of thousands of Zimbabweans flooded the streets of Harare on Saturday, singing, dancing and hugging soldiers in an extraordinary outpouring of elation at the expected fall of President Robert Mugabe, their leader of the last 37 years.
Mugabe, the only ruler Zimbabwe has known since independence from Britain in 1980, has been holed up in his lavish 'Blue Roof' compound, from where he has watched support from his Zanu-PF party, the security services and the people evaporate in the wake of a military seizure of power on Wednesday.

The Sad, Shocking Reason So Many Men Are Still Single
Looking for that perfect mate is a proverbial problem that has paved a way for profitable businesses. From shows like Millionaire Matchmaker to online dating websites like eHarmony, single men (and women) are looking for love. But even with a myriad of matchmaking tools and avenues, finding the right one hasn't been more difficult as it is today.
Men are simply staying single longer than they ever have before.
Not only is the percentage of married Americans at its lowest since 1920, the marriage age is also at its highest ever—29.5 years old on average for men according to a February 2017 Pew Research Center report.
At Vatican conference, California governor says ‘brainwashing’ needed on climate change
California Gov. Jerry Brown told a recent Vatican climate conference that brainwashing is needed to get people to accept the idea of man-made climate change.
“At the highest circles, people still don’t get it,” Brown said. “It’s not just a light rinse” that’s required. “We need a total, I might say, ‘brainwashing.’
“We need to wash our brains out and see a very different kind of world.”
Robert Mugabe has been 'neutralised': Zimbabwe's military take control
Robert Mugabe has been 'neutralised', according to a prominent
campaigner in Zimbabwe hours after a military take over that has the
hallmarks of a coup.
The 93-year-old leader who has been in charge for 37 years remains in detention as army leaders say they are trying to remove 'criminals' surrounding the president. The move appears to be an attempt to replace the entrenched figure with his deputy, Emmerson Mnangagwa, who was sacked last week and prevent Mugabe's wife, Grace, from taking power.
Ben Freeth, a former farmer in Zimbabwe who rose to prominence when he took Mugabe to court in 2007 over attempts to seize his land, spoke to a local media from Harare describing mass military presence at the airport, in the centre of town and on all the major roads.
'It is quite an interesting situation we have woken up to this morning,' he said.

Interpreting Your Dreams: Is It About You?
A dream without an interpretation is an experience without meaning. It may have been a nice dream, but it won't have the impact God intended until we understand its meaning and respond.
In my last article, I explained that the most important key to interpreting dreams is a relationship with the author of dreams—we need revelation if we want to understand what we are dreaming. As we begin to marry revelation with skill, our consistency and impact will grow.
What are the skills we need to interpret dreams? The first is learning to recognize who the dream is about.
Who Is the Dream For?
Has anyone ever come up to you and said, "Hey, I had a dream about you"? But as they told you the dream, you realized it couldn't possibly be about you. You played only a minor role in the dream, and the dream's content or message made no sense in your life.
This is common. Just because a person is in a dream doesn't mean the dream is about them.
To interpret a dream correctly, we have to determine who the dream is for. We can do this by asking a simple question: What role does the dreamer play in this dream? In most dreams, the dreamer will occupy one of three positions: the focus of the dream, a participant in the dream or an observer in the dream.

Filipino bishop a victim of Facebook identity theft
Bishop Alberto Uy of Tagbilaran, on the Philippine island Bohol, was forced to warn his social media friends of online scams after his Facebook account was cloned to solicit donations in his name.
“ATTENTION ALL MY FB FRIENDS: Somebody is making a false FB account of myself under the name Abet Uy, asking for financial help or soliciting something. Don’t believe it,” the bishop said in a statement to his 26,000 followers on Facebook.
The 51-year-old bishop learned about the identity theft Monday, the day before he left to attend funeral rites for Bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos, who died Oct. 21. The fake account includes Bishop Uy in his vestments as a profile picture and him with a group of nuns for the background image.
Bishop Uy will frequently use Facebook to connect to his parishioners, offering them small spiritual insights. This time, he asked for help reporting the scam to Facebook and encouraged his followers not to be misled by the fake requests for financial assistance.
At the end of the same post, the bishop turned to prayer, saying, “Oh God, please forgive those people who scammed your people.”
Facebook cloning isn’t a new tactic by hackers to try and steal money, and recent chain messages have been circulating through the web warning Facebook friends about of virtual scandals.
Christian campaigners warn of 'outrage' at gender-neutrality plans in Scotland
Christian campaigners have warned of 'outrage' over plans in Scotland
that could allow adults and children to change their gender so that
legally they are neither male nor female.
The reaction came after the SNP-led Scottish government unveiled proposals to create a 'non-binary' gender for people who do not identify as a man or woman and to make it legal to 'self-declare' which gender they want to be.
The plans mean that people in Scotland could change their legal status to male, female or 'non-binary' without any medical diagnosis or treatment, and potentially switch more than once.

The devil has declared open war against celibacy, marriage, and the Eucharist. Here’s why.
Many readers will have seen this quotation from a letter written by Sister Lucia, the Fatima visionary: “The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. Don’t be afraid, because anyone who operates for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be contended and opposed in every way. This is the decisive issue.”
Few, however, will be familiar with Pope Siricius (334–399), who described his opponent Jovinian as a tool of “the ancient enemy, the adversary of chastity, the teacher of luxury,” because he had attacked the celibacy of the clergy. Is there a connection between Sister Lucia’s insight and the devil’s age-old campaign against virginity and celibacy for the Kingdom of heaven?
In order to answer this question, we need to look at the devil: who he is, and how he operates.
8 things you didn't know about Christmas
I love Christmas. I suspect my wife now hates it, since I started writing this book on Christmas history. Here are eight of my favourite festive facts that made Mrs Kerensa roll her eyes...
1. King Herod had a wife called Doris. He had 10 wives (not all at the same time), including a Cleopatra and two Mariamnes. He killed one wife, and her mother, after making them testify against each other, and he drowned his teenage brother-in-law at a party. Herod was so worried that people wouldn't mourn him (and they wouldn't – he was a terror), that he ordered the death of much-loved locals, as soon as news spread of his own demise – that way people would really have something to cry about. Thankfully, soldiers tasked with carrying out this wish decided not to, when Herod finally passed. No reported tears were shed.
British missionary killed in Nigeria, 3 others freed
Delta State is in the south of Nigeria and is known as 'the big heart of the nation'. |
One of four British missionaries kidnapped in Nigeria three weeks ago has been killed, according to the Foreign Office, but the other three have been released.
Ian Squire was killed following the kidnap on October 14. However, David and Shirley Donovan and Alanna Carson have all returned home safely.
A statement from their families reported by the Daily Telegraph said: 'We are grateful for the support received by the British High Commission, and help from the Nigerian authorities in negotiating their release. We are delighted and relieved that Alanna, David and Shirley have returned home safely. Our thoughts are now with the family and friends of Ian as we come to terms with his sad death.'
Is the Left Eating Itself on College Campuses?
For some left-wing advocates, the answer is a clear "yes" or "no." For others, however, deciding whether or not the Left is eating itself is a bit more complicated when it comes to assessing restrictions on free speech on college campuses today.
In a spirited debate on the matter inside the auditorium of the New York University Law School in lower Manhattan last Thursday, four of the most controversial left-wing voices to emerge in the debate in recent years pondered the question: "Is the Left eating itself?"
In varying degrees, all of them except one agreed that it isn't.
Labour politician found dead after suspension amid alleged harassment probe
A former Welsh government minister, Carl Sargeant, who was suspended
last week after allegations were made over his conduct with women, has
been found dead, police said today.
Sargeant, 49, a member of the opposition Welsh Labour Party and a campaigner against domestic violence, told local media earlier this week that he wanted an urgent investigation into the allegations 'in order to allow me to clear my name'.
In a statement, police said: 'At approximately 11.30 am today North Wales Police were called to a report that the body of a man had been found at an address in Connah's Quay.
'The man has been formally identified as...Carl Sargeant. North Wales Police are not treating his death as suspicious.'
Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones said in a statement: 'Carl was a friend as well as a colleague and I am shocked and deeply saddened by his death.'

Secrets to Finding Pleasure in God's Everyday Gifts to You
Power is often an unseen force that makes things happen. The fact that it is unseen does not in any way mitigate that there is real force involved. Let's talk about a few unseen powers that you engage in regularly within your daily life. You can hear the wind at times, and you can feel it on some days as well. There are few things that feel better on a beach or in the mountains than a cool breeze.
Yet the wind is absolutely unseen. You can, however, see its impact and even harness its great power. Modern man has made greater applications of the pinwheel. This unseen power of the wind moves large windmills creating enough power to power a house or even neighborhoods if you put it together intelligently.
Pleasure is one of these very significant but unseen powers. You can't see it, but you can realize its impact. What pushes a person to run, swim, eat sweets, shop or meditate? It's pleasure that motivates these behaviors. You can't see it, but its power can be the largest influence in your life and in the lives of those you love.
The pleasure power is at work daily, and consistently but unseen in your life. It drives you at times but can't be seen. It helps you make both minor and major choices on how you spend your time, energy and money. At times, the power of pleasure is also directing the choices of relationships that you have or don't have.

On All Souls’ Day, Pope Francis prays for an end to war
We should beg God to put an end to the violence and destruction wrought by war, especially as the world seems to prepare for another conflict, Pope Francis said on All Souls’ Day.
Today “the world is at war again and is preparing itself to go more heavily into war. No more, Lord! No more! With war, you lose everything!” the Pope said Nov. 2.
“This is what we should say today; that we pray for all the dead, but in this place we pray in a special way for these young people (killed in war).”

Pope Francis mourns victims in string of recent terror attacks
After nearly 40 people were killed in terrorist attacks this week in Somalia, New York and Afghanistan, Pope Francis voiced his sorrow for loss of innocent life, and prayed for an end to the “murderous” hatred that spurs violence.
During his Nov. 1 Angelus address on All Saints Day, Pope Francis voiced his sorrow for the various attacks, saying he is “deeply saddened” by the loss of life.
Why the forbidden fruit in Genesis is probably not the apple
After the celebrations of Simchat Torah and the reading of Deuteronomy where Moses gives up the mantle to Joshua to lead the Children of Israel into the Promised Land, we start again with the story of Genesis, culminating in the creation of Adam on the 6th day (when G-d was rushing to get his work finished before Shabbat started on the 7th day).
By the way, 'rest' didn't just happen: 'rest' was there before creation and G-d activated it at just the right time, but that is another story.
And, just to confuse you further, Genesis is not a scientific account of how creation works in the modern sense, but simply a statement that it happened!
One of the most famous Adam and Eve stories is the one about eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge.
What the Winged Horse Reveals About the Water of the Holy Spirit
At this time of year, the winged horse, the constellation Pegasus, takes its place directly overhead at about 9:00 pm. The constellation is easily recognized by the large square formed by its stars, also known as the "Great Square of Pegasus."
There are three horses pictured in the constellations of the Star Bible, and all of them symbolize spiritual power (see Zech. 6:1-8). The first, Centaurus, ("the despised one") is a man-horse combination which symbolizes a man of great spiritual power: Christ. Centaurus stands directly over the Southern Cross, which shows how the despised one of Isaiah 53:3-5 was pierced for our transgressions and brought us peace. The second, Sagittarius ("the archer") is a man-horse combination announcing the coming of Christ, the arrow of God, the despised one formed in the womb by God to bring salvation to both Jew and Gentile (Isa. 49:1-7).

A driver in a rented pickup truck mowed down pedestrians and cyclists on a bike path alongside the Hudson River in New York City on Tuesday, killing eight people and injuring about a dozen others in what authorities said was an act of terrorism.
It was the greatest loss of life from a suspected terrorist attack in New York since suicide hijackers crashed jetliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan on Sept. 11, 2001, killing more than 2,600 people.
Ex-Witch Details the Ritual Satanic Abuse That Happens on Halloween
Ex-witch Beth says she used to love Halloween—until she connected the dots.
"I really don't like to give a lot of details about it because it's very hard to talk about and, quite frankly, I don't want to disturb (people completely)," Beth says in a new video.
Since her salvation in recent years and subsequent inner healings and deliverance, Beth came to realize she was abused in a satanic ritual on Halloween when she was just 3.
"We went to the (Mormon) church and what happened next made my blood curdle. I was given candy, but that was just a prelude to the sexual abuse that would happen in a satanic ritual," Beth reveals in her blog.
"On Halloween, Satanists use young children, such as myself, as sexual idols to worship. Other children receive a far worse fate. Death. I know for some this is more than you can even think to believe, but it is true. I can barely write these words because the pain of the truth is almost more than I can bear. If it wasn't for the grace and love of Jesus Christ, I would not even be here writing this at all."

This Native American is officially on the path to sainthood
Lakota medicine man turned Catholic catechist Nicholas Black Elk has begun the path to potential canonization with a Mass in South Dakota opening his cause for sainthood.
“From a very young age, there was an openness to the Spirit of God in his life,” Bishop Robert Gruss of Rapid City, S.D. said at an Oct. 21 Mass. “God used a personal invitation from a Jesuit priest to lead this child of God, Black Elk, down a new path to becoming this great disciple in the Catholic faith for the Lakota people.”
