So how much skin can a woman show before it's a sin?
Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA player Stephen Curry, sparked fiery debate when she expressed on Twitter her preference in clothing.
She tweeted that she would rather keep a more modest appearance than what today's trends demand. She also wrote that she'll take "classy over trendy any day of the week."
Curry received a ton of backlash from people who said she was shaming women who dress less modestly.
Actress Meagan Good, who is also a Christian, has often been criticized for wearing clothing viewed as too sexy.
Good, an actress who is married to film producer and minister Devon Franklin, turned heads when she wore a blue dress with a deep plunging neckline at the BET Awards in 2013.
Now, she's making headlines again.
The couple was recently interviewed at One Church LA to discuss their new book called The Wait.
In the book, the two share about their courtship and marriage and the key to their success — waiting until marriage to have sex.
A woman in the crowd questioned Good's faith and her choice of clothing.
"I was at a grocery store, and I looked at a newsstand and I saw you, and you had your breasts showing," the woman said.
"You need to make sure what you say and what you do match up, you understand? So we're going to cover up, right?" the woman continued.
Franklin then stepped in to defend his wife.
"No, that is not what we're here for, she is not going to cover up. She's going to wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus," he said.
