The Archdiocese of Washington’s logo for the Year of Mercy (above) highlights the fact that Catholics are called to open their hearts to receiving and sharing God’s mercy. The archdiocese’s special website mercy.adw.org shares resources and reflections on our need for mercy, helps people connect with ministries and communities where they can receive mercy, including the Sacrament of Reconciliation at parishes, and encourages people to share mercy by participating in the Corporal or Spiritual Works of Mercy or by taking the walk with Francis Pledge. People can share their experiences via social media at #EncounterMercy, and they can sign up to receive weekly Year of Mercy reflections via text or email.
